“REALITY”

“suck it up butter cup” and “normal”

both have a lot of energy –

I created both of these pieces with an angst against society and the way life was going at the time. My mom always tells me to “Suck it up buttercup” so that piece reminded me of my mother, chaotic, masterful, supporting, and most of all, loving. her mindset has always been to suck it up, bite down and get it done. the second piece “Normal” Is a piece I wanted to center around the notion of normal and who came up with the idea of what’s normal, what’s not and so on. So if you take a look there are a lot of things in the artwork where you see things opposite from what we consider to be normal.
